Emma the Butterfly

We went to the Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival last weekend with Nana, Bubbe and Aunt Pam. It was so crowded but at least it wasn't super hot. Emma got her face painted which we waited in line for about 20 minutes. She got a butterfly painted on her face and she loved it. This all seemed innocent enough until I told her we had to wash it off before she went to bed. Man oh Man! We were not ready for the wrath of Emma that night. She was so upset that she was SOBBING and almost hyper-ventilating. When I was washing it off she was hitting her face saying "I DON'T WANT TO WASH IT OFF". I wish there was a video of this because me telling you just won't do it justice. I finally got her to bed and the very next morning she asked me if I would paint her butterfly back on her face. I told her you only got your face painted at festivals, she said she wanted to go back with Nana and Bubbe that day. (Some how I was left off the list of invitees!) Then to top it off when she woke up from her nap that day she was in a horrible mood and I asked her what was wrong...she said..."I WANT MY FACE PAINTED LIKE A BUTTERFLY!" and she was MAD at me all over again! I wonder how many more days I will have to hear about it!

    So funny! I spent 12.50 on a lemonaid and funnel cake Thursday, but it was so worth every calorie.

    Just have to love the one with the two of them together.

    And oh yeah, Taryn ... Mayfest is this weekend and I'm sure they will have face painters!
